Beauty Products I’m Currently Loving

products-im-loving
I haven’t done a favourites post since September so I thought I would do a last one for 2016. I haven’t been trying a lot of products but I do have a few that I wanna share with you and just kind of update you on why I like it and all that.

For skincare, I’m loving the Simple Kind to Skin Soothing Facial Toner because it doesn’t irritate my skin at all and it doesn’t contain alcohol so it suits my dry skin perfectly. Some toners irritate the area around my nose and I don’t have that problem with this toner. It’s like putting water full of mineral that is good for my skin so I am sure to repurchase it once I ran out of it. I must say that this toner lasts a long time too. I have had this for 7 weeks and I’m only halfway through.

Another skincare favourite of mine is the Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. It keeps my face free from breakouts and I love this as a treatment after popping my pimples. I know that it’s bad to pop your pimples but I just can’t stop myself especially when it’s all red and swollen and the puss is ready to be popped. I usually pop my pimples before shower and use this mask immediately after I’m done showering. The clay just deep cleanses the sore area keeping it from getting swollen the next day. Clay mask can be a bit drying especially for dry skin gals so I make sure to always moisturise after a mask session.

My current favourite moisturiser is the Organic Aid Vitamin E Moisturizing Cream which I did a review of last week so you can read about it here: That One Moisturiser I Repurchase Every Month

I only have two beauty favourites and one makeup tool at this moment. I have been reaching for MAC Matte Lipstick in Mehr a lot these days when I have somewhere I need to go. This is the perfect rosy nude lipstick for me and it suits my skin tone really well. I must say that this is my favourite lipstick of all-time as of now. My mom really loves this shade too and she always uses mine.

TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer is the type of highlighter that you can use for subtle highlighting or BAM in-your-face glow. I use a tiny bit of Mary-Lou using my Real Techniques contour brush and just highlight the top of my cheekbones and it instantly gives me a natural glow without it looking like I have a strip of chunky glitter on my cheekbones. You can definitely use more of this for that glam highlight look which I don’t prefer for daytime makeup.

The beauty tool I’m currently loving is a kabuki blending brush from my IG shop. I found that it blends my crease colour flawlessly and erases any eyeshadow mistakes I do. Sometimes I put too much crease colour on one eye and this brush just blends it all away.

Entertainment

Black Mirror

I was skeptical to watch this show at first because I read spoilers about what happened in the Pilot episode and I’m not too keen on watching that but oh my god I am so glad I gave it a try. This show is so good and every episode leaves me with a “WTF JUST HAPPENED???” moment. Every episode has different storyline and plot and this show is basically about the consequences of technology and social media. My favourite episodes so far are S01E03, S02E01 (so sad!), S02E02, and S03E01.

Gilmore Girls

It feels like everyone’s watching or rewatching Gilmore Girls and loved it so I just wanted to know what’s the hype about. So far I’m really liking it as I can play it on background while doing something else on my computer. Plus, getting to see young Chad Michael Murray and Jared Padalecki wouldn’t hurt..

How I Met Your Mother

I know, I KNOW. I’m late to the HIMYM bandwagon. My brother has this show playing on the tv in his room whenever he’s home from college because it helps him sleeps. I’m more into drama and crime-related shows but as someone who finished 5 seasons of Criminal Minds in just 3 weeks, watching a laid back comedy show once in a while is a treat.
