Erin Talks | Of my week, journals, makeup and pens!

Hey dolls! I have so many things to share yet I always seem to forget them so excuse me while I’m trying to remember every single thing that I wanna talk about. I know that Erin Talks series is a weekend-only post but honestly, who cares? Soz.

ONE
On Thursday, I went to visit my uncle at an army community hospital in KL with my mom, my aunt, and my cousin. My mom’s brother fell sick after a mild stroke and his diabetes is getting worse.

TWO
On Friday, my brother came home for the weekend so in the evening, we went to a stationery shop ’cause I wanted to get a white foam board for my blog photos but nothing caught my eyes. I ended up buying a couple of things including black gel pens. My sister used mine and I was in need of more pens for my journals.

I bought my favourite Pilot Wingel 0.7 in black and a Faber-Castell True Gel pen 0.7 in black. I only bought one of Faber-Castell’s ’cause I thought it was going to be a RM3.50 pen like the Pilot ones but lo and behold, the pen is only 1.80! I regret not getting more after I got in the car.

We wanted to buy the RM5 coffee we used to buy from this stall near my house but unfortunately the stall was no longer selling there. We ended up buying Caramel Frappe from Starbucks (which price has increased, by the way!) and 3 slices of cakes from Secret Recipe ’cause my mom’s 46th birthday was on Saturday. We bought red velvet, moist choc cake, and choc brulee which was so good! But my favourite cakes will always be blueberry cheesecake and carrot cheesecake. Yum.

On the way home, we got some banana fritters and cucur udang but we called it kuih udang ’cause it’s just easier to pronounce.

THREE
We planned on going somewhere on Saturday but my brother had to ruin the day and went out studying for finals with his friends so my parents, my sister, and I had our late lunch at Kenny Rogers, Bangi Gateway. I prefer Kenny over Nando’s, though. What do you prefer?

FOUR
Today (Monday), we went to KL ’cause my dad had a work stuff to do and we visited my uncle again. I got to play with a baby! My baby cousins are all grown up and knew how to walk already so they don’t want anyone to hold them anymore so finally being able to hold a baby who can’t walk yet felt so good! #babyyaneedme

And then, we went to my mom’s other brother’s house to visit. On the way home, we went to Tesco to buy my sister’s sketchbook and more pens for me and did a little grocery shopping. This time, I got the Faber-Castell in 0.5! Love it love it love it.

Afifah Addnan asked me on Twitter if the makeup I had on was the no-makeup look I did a post on a few weeks ago. The answer is, not really. It’s still a no-makeup look but I used different products and it certainly took more than 5 minutes to do. Soz.

FIVE
The lip combo Neelofa uses are MAC Lip Liner in Oh Honey and Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Crush. Too bad our skin tone is different so I can’t rely on what she uses. 🙁

SIX
I recently found out that Shukri Yahaya lives near my house and that he always passes by my residential area. What. The freak!!!

SEVEN
I’ve decided that if I ever got married, Journey – Faithfully will be my wedding theme. I found an instrumental version of Faithfully on YouTube and it’s perfect! #beranganisfreeofcharge

EIGHT
I saw multicoloured 0.38 pens at Tesco but they don’t have them in black. I desperately need 0.38 or 0.22 pens in black ink! They’re so nice, perfect for bullet journalling. Too bad mom asked me to hurry up or I would have picked up the multicoloured ones.

NINE
I’m obsessed with Lily Pebbles’ bullet journal video! It has inspired me to create more templates in my bullet journal. Why does LEUCHTTURM1917 Bullet Journal cost so much money? 🙁

TEN
A few days ago, I found two journals that I stuck in my drawer last year because I didn’t want anyone finding it. I’m planning on journalling again so I thought instead of buying new notebooks, I should continue writing in them and filling them up before buying a new one. Maybe I should do a journal collection, eh? That might be a good idea for a blog post. Now where did I put my camera’s memory card and battery that I charged last week..

ELEVEN
In case you’re confused, bullet journal is a system of organisation and journalling is just plain ol’ writing your thoughts in a notebook.

TWELVE

THIRTEEN
Point thirteen was dedicated to a certain someone who has made me act quite petty for the first time in 2017 but then I realised that I’m an adult and adults don’t deal with Twitter subtweets anymore.
