A blog facelift from Pipdig

Breathe in, breathe out.

If you’re following me on Instagram (where I post a hefty amount of stories every day), you would know that my blog has got a facelift! I know, right? Yesterday was my birthday so one of my friends asked me what do I want for my birthday and I told him I wanted a new design for my blog which he gladly bought for me. Thank you thank you thank you!

I am still freaking out. I went on and on on my blog about how much I wanted the Opulence theme by Pipdig and here it is, you guys. I am currently using it on erinazmir.com and I couldn’t be happier and extremely grateful! I have been in the state where I was just so busy to spend some time for my blog but I hope with this new design it will inspire me to start writing again.

I have loads of posts I wanted to write about but there’s just not enough time in a day and don’t get me talking about the whole process of taking blog photos. I hate taking photos in general and the sole reason why I have a camera in my hand is for my dearest blog. I posted just under 10 posts in February and March and I feel so unhappy that I don’t have time to publish proper posts anymore.

This new blog design is to celebrate my blog’s 1st anniversary in February and also the beginning of a 22-year-old Erin against the world. To many more years to come and many more memories to be created and cherished here on ErinAzmir.com. Salute!

Let me tell you one thing — I love searching ‘pipdig’ on Twitter just to see what’s everyone’s talking about Pipdig and it has become a habit for quite a few months. From what I see, Phil (Pipdig) is very responsive and he will reply to you if you ask him something about their service. I did tweet him a few times to ask about Holly & Weave theme that I was obsessed with at that time and also about their Blogger to WordPress migration which I did by myself because I didn’t want to spend so much money on migrating.

I knew in my heart that if I wanted to purchase a Pipdig theme, I would purchase Opulence just because it’s very slick and modern and if you’re using WordPress, just know that you have many layout options and it’s not only limited to what you see on live demo. Their themes are so customisable I can make Opulence look like Holly & Weave!

I know I mentioned in one of my posts that Pipdig themes are overused but I can’t help from drooling over their themes and checking out live demos of all Blogger and WordPress themes they have and hoping that one day I can own one of them. To be fair, I care only about what my blog looks like and who cares if it looks like 23456543 blogs out there.. *gulps*

The whole process from purchasing and installing the theme was a breeze! I paid using Paypal as usual and I immediately got sent to my email my purchase order and a link to download the theme file. Installing it was super easy and that’s saying a lot because WordPress is complicated but I managed to do it myself with the help of their support page. They do free installation too if you’re not confident enough to do it yourself.

The theme is so customisable that I feel like using every single feature they have. I’m still playing around with the theme and you know, choosing different styles and settings that will work for my blog and how I want it to look. I haven’t touched a single code which I’m extremely grateful because everything is just tick/untick and disable/enable. That’s it. I read many reviews saying that their themes are very easy to install and now that I have experienced it, they’re damn right![/left]
