Leuchtturm1917 Metallic Edition Dotted Notebook in Copper

This is probably the most expensive stationery I have ever purchased and may I say that I don’t regret it one bit. For months, I have been looking at this local-based website that sells Leuchtturm1917 notebook but the metallic edition in Copper was always always always out of stock. It looked like they are not restocking the notebook because it’s out of stock since the beginning of the year and we are in August now. I felt very pissed off because I really wanted one and the copper one especially is so beautiful.

So I went on the hunt at Shopee. I didn’t expect much from Shopee anyway because it doesn’t look like Leuchtturm would be sold there but lo and behold, there was one shop called Lex Art that sells stationeries including Leuchtturm notebooks so I purchased it for RM130. With that expensive price tag, it deserve a dedicated blog post on my blog. Soz.

It comes with a thank you card and a pamphlet about Leuchtturm1917 brand. On the last page of the notebook, they inserted an archiving stickers that you can use after you have used up your notebook which is nice and the stickers are copper-coloured as well.

When you open the notebook, there’s an about section where you can put your details just in case you lose your notebook. There’s also two pages of index so you can index your notebook which I never do in my past notebooks lol.

The two page markers that came with the notebook are in copper which is a very nice detail in my opinion.

Metallic Edition Notebook

  • 251 numbered pages
  • Table of contents
  • 12 perforated sheets
  • Expandable pocket
  • 2 page markers
  • Thread bound book
  • Sticker for labelling and archiving
  • 80g/m2 acid-free paper
  • High ink compatibility
  • Dimensions: 145 x 210 mm

The papers are not the best of the best since it’s only 80g/m2 and if you’ve watched video reviews of Leuchtturm1917 notebooks then you would know BUT nonetheless they are still great. The papers are smooth and although I do get ghosting, there isn’t any bleeding whatsoever from pens I use. I’m only going to be using this notebook as my writing journal so I don’t find the need of using any brush pens with the notebook.

Overall, I’m really pleased with this notebook and I will definitely buy the normal edition one in assorted colours.
