I have been waiting to graduate since the day I entered my first semester degree class and that was in November 2014. A whooping five years later, I finally graduated. FINALLY. I took a year long break in 2016 and deferred my internship for about 6 months and what should be an August 2018 graduation turned to February 2020. I didn’t graduate on time but that’s okay.
I used to have chips on my shoulder because I didn’t graduate on time but now that I have experienced it myself, I forgot all about my resentment and bitterness of not being able to graduate with my classmates. At least, I got to graduate with my husband by my side and a bun in the oven.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (TESL) with Honours from MSU, my now alma mater. If any of you who stumbled upon my blog are thinking of taking TESL in MSU, feel free to hit me up. I went through so much during my university life; personal-wise and study-wise all meshed up together and almost ruined my life but this girl pull through. I’m so proud of myself for finishing my studies. It was not a walk in the park – as much as I wanted it to be.
Goodbye MSU!
