3 things I tried this month

February is the month of trying new things and venturing into something that is out of my comfort zone. I have so many things to share but so little time to actually sit down and write about it. Once everything is settled, I will surely make some time to share my experience on here. I can’t wait to share it will all of you! (although I doubt there are still people reading just because I rarely write these days..)

Anyway, here’s 3 things I tried this month!

I tried reading (again) on e-book

I forgot the last time I finished a book. I used to read a lot during school and it all changed when I got into university. For some reason, I can never focus long enough on a book as I’d always put it down and find something else to do instead. One weekend, I was at my parents’, with my iPad, and saw my Books app. Opened it and saw an e-book Siqah (my blogger friend) emailed me years ago. I figured why the hell not and finished it in 4 days. I really enjoyed reading again so it made me think that maybe I can only read on a device instead of physical books? We are all glued to our devices these days so it’s understandable that I prefer reading on it more.

I tried digital planning

Something that I never, ever, thought I would do because I am loyal to my paper planner. I tried digital planning. *cues fireworks* And surprisingly, I love it! I purchased GoodNotes 5 merely few days ago and downloaded free digital planner and stickers. Having a digital planner is super easy! I usually bring my iPad and planner to the office and that takes up space in my bag so now, I no longer have to bring my planner when I only need my iPad for everything. It’s the best!

I tried juggling work and mommy duty

Sometimes I want to curl in bed and sleep all day long, neglecting all my responsibilities because I’m THAT tired. I got a job as a life planner or some of you may call it ‘insurance agent’ because we are literally an agent for insurance but honestly, it’s so much more than that. Our responsibility goes so much more than just selling a product. We’re literally tied to our clients and are supposed to guide them should they have any problems and claims for as long as they are our client. It’s a big responsibility. Just imagine having 5 clients who need to make claims simultaneously.. at the same time.. yikes!

Anyway, I go to the office once a week for five hours and leave my son at home. The thing is he doesn’t want milk in bottle (I do pump for him) so when my sister text me saying that he’s crying and doesn’t want his milk, I couldn’t focus at all. He’s starting solid next week (can’t believe he’s turning 6 months old!) so he can be fed solid food instead of wanting mommy every time he’s hungry. #momlife
