Her Little Loves 18

In this trying times, finding little joys that I am grateful for seems a light year away. Social media has become a hellish hole where all news are never good ones and they make me keep asking myself, “Why am I still on this? This isn’t helping my mental health.”

I never would have thought that I’d have to live through a pandemic this extreme. Being stuck at home, not being able to even go grocery shopping with my husband – the lockdown restriction only permits one person per household to do the shopping – it drives me downright a little bit insane.

I used to stop by the drugstore after every grocery trip just to buy a few things for myself; hand wash, small knick-knacks I could keep in my bag, like so. Now, I couldn’t even do that. Public places scream “COVID!!!” to me and I don’t want to take that risk of getting infected. It’s not worth it. I have a child and I am pregnant. I couldn’t afford being sick so I’m doing the very best I can to stay healthy for myself and for my small albeit growing family.

So here’s a few things that make me smile this week – because we all deserve a little something-something that sparks joy.

01. A steaming hot cup of tea (or salted caramel latte!)

02. Getting into bed right after a midnight shower.

03. Getting cosy in my office with YouTube videos playing on my iPad whilst typing away a blog post on my MacBook.

04. The gochujang fried rice my husband made two days ago for lunch. Delish!

05. Starting a new tv show and end up loving it –The Resident – so good!

06. Opening the fridge and seeing a box of the best creampuff I’ve ever tried.

07. A clean house.

08. Cream crackers dip in a hot drink. Probably one of the best suppers ever.

09. Everything about my blog. The theme, the about page that I took the time to refresh, and the new blog logo at the bottom of my blog.

10. Finding out at the doctor’s appointment that my baby is doing fine after weeks of worrying.

11. Using a super soft white bath towel. I feel fancy.

12. Receiving the very last package from my Shopee orders. Literally 20 parcels later…

13. Peanut butter and nutella toast.

14. Changing to a new bedsheet and spraying some Febreze for extra freshness.

15. Pulling the comforter closer to my chest as the rain pouring heavily. State of bliss.

Have a joyful week, everyone. xx
