I wasn’t one to DNF a book, as I always thought that all books deserved a chance to be read and appreciated. However, it has come to a point in my reading journey where I realised that not all books are my cup of tea and it’s okay to did not finish it. Nobody’s going to put me in a reader’s prison for not finishing a book. Nonetheless, these are the books I DNF this month (and secured spots in my DNF shelf on Goodreads.)
The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez
Honest to god, this book was good. And then it HAD to be an instant love trope and I just couldn’t go through with it which sucks, by the way, as I DNF it at 65%. I was already over halfway through! I just can’t. I don’t believe in love at first sight with humans (not to be mistaken with shoes and bags, LOL.)
You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle
This book was infuriating. I DNF it at 30%. The whole time it was the FMC hating on the MMC and I got tired of her constant nagging, berating, and snarking the MMC as if she’s perfect. People who have finished this book has the level of patience that I’ll never reach. I know that it’s a HEA book but I truly believe they wouldn’t last.
