Sunday Reset 20 – 07.24

I missed June’s Sunday Reset but I’m back with July’s albeit a week later than it was supposed to go up. Every time I feel bad for not posting I have to remind myself that I have a freelance work that is keeping me busy until November and a gazillion books to read on my Kindle. Blogging is not a chore so I shall do it whenever I want to.

July Highlights

✧ My cousin’s wedding weekend! I went to the solemnisation ceremony on Saturday while my husband brought our kids for an outing with my in laws. The reception was on the next day which we all wore brick orange to match. It was so fun. I love weddings.

I bought a Kindle! Let’s just say that piece of device is my favourite thing as of now.

✧ We went on an impromptu trip to my husband’s hometown. I love it when he does that, provided a 24 hour notice is given so I can pack in peace haha. Celebrated his niece’s birthday and my kids got to play with their cousins. It was fun.

✦ Breakfast dates with my husband after sending the kids to school. Love that we get to sneak in quick dates here and there because he’s super busy these days.

What I read

I read a total of 11 books on my Kindle! I was on month two of reading slump, on my way to the third month when I purchased it after some thoughts. It was the best decision ever! Here are the books I read and ratings:

  1. Hate Mail by Donna Marchetti – 3.5/5
  2. Funny Story by Emily Henry – 5/5
  3. Crossroads by Devney Perry – 5/5
  4. Plotting Summer by Jess Heileman – 4/5
  5. The Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce – 5/5
  6. A Lie for a Lie by Helena Hunting – 3/5
  7. Yours, Unexpectedly by Rachel Lewis – 4/5
  8. With Any Luck by Ashley Poston (novella) – 4/5
  9. Drop, Cover, and Hold On by Jasmine Guillory (novella) – 2/5
  10. Play Along by Liz Tomforde – 4/5
  11. Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez – 5/5

What I watched

  • Since my previous Sunday Reset, I finished Gilmore Girls and Dynasty. I watched a little bit of Suits–figured I need to finish the last few episodes once and for all but failed at doing so because I left it so long ago. Will revisit once I’m done with the show I’m watching this month.
  • Sex & The City. Mr. Big, what the F?

What I Listened

  • Westlife – Something Right.
  • Gracie Abrams – I miss you, I’m sorry (I am very late to the party, I know.)
  • Billie Eilish – BIRDS OF A FEATHER

What I wore

  • Longchamp Le Pliage in black (large, long handle). It’s the perfect bag for me.
  • Apple Watch SE (2nd gen). I gotta be honest here–I only bought this a year ago out of fear of missing out. I only started recently wearing it on a daily basis (more like every other day, LOL) to keep track of my steps.

What I loved

  • You’re probably sick of hearing me say this, but I love my Kindle.
  • Submitted my freelance work and got paid a few days after. It’s the little achievements to keep me going.
  • I’ve been planning weekly on my Good Mondays Paper midyear planner and tracking my finance to the T. I think I might have just found my planner peace.

What’s on the August schedule?

August always hits hard, because it’s the month my dad died. It’s been two years without him.
